brazilian dinosaurs - (3sec. cycles) - may 2006

Prof. Adolfo Bittencourt from Instituto de Artes and Prof. Cesar Schultz from Instituto de Geociencias have a very interesting project of recreating in 3D some fossils found in Rio Grande do Sul. I am doing some animations for them. Right now there's only this dinosaur, called "Guaibasaur". Model, texture and bump by Dorothy Ballarini.

"i saw day and night meet" - (1:45) - july 2005

An animated metaphor for a sunset. The male character represents the sun, the female, the night. She "struggles" for the supremacy of earth, represented by the Intihuatana stone from Machu Pichu. Besides the rig from Brad Noble, I did everything in this movie, music from Tom Zé. Graduation project for UFRGS. WIP thread at CGTalk here.

"hamlet" - (3:01) - december 2004

Act V scene I from Shakespeare's play re-enacted by robots in a theater. This is my first animated short. I was aiming for a realistic animation to contrast with the non-organic characters, but certainly it would end up much better if i had exagerated all the actings. I should also have done some kind of facial animation. The lighting and rendering turned out really well though, but the amount of rendering time made me choose some easier and faster render for future works. I did everything in this movie but the audio.
